US President Donald Trump announced Sunday that a comprehensive peace agreement with Iran has been finalized, authorizing the toll-free reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the removal of a US naval blockade.

US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that a comprehensive peace agreement with Iran has been finalized, declaring the pact complete and authorizing the immediate toll-free reopening of the strategic Strait of Hormuz. "The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all!," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

He simultaneously ordered the removal of the United States Naval blockade, stating: "I hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade."

Maritime traffic to resume

Trump signalled the resumption of energy shipments through the vital waterway, writing: "Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!" He did not provide additional details regarding the agreement's implementation timeline.
