East Africa

By Beth Oliver, Barrhead

Father’s Song, a Glasgow-based choral group of more than 30 men, will perform at St Andrew’s Parish Church in Barrhead on Saturday, March 21 at 7pm.

The event aims to raise funds for the Friends of Kings Norton Foundation Uganda (KNFU), with a collection to take place during the evening.

KNFU supports Kings Norton School and Foundation in the capital city, Kampala, which provides education and vital opportunities for children with additional support needs.

He said: “We often talk about the lack of provision for children with additional support needs in this country.

“However, the situation in many other countries is vastly different, with virtually no state provision for these vulnerable children.

“KNFU brings hope and practical support to families who are unable to access education otherwise and feel extremely isolated.”
