A suspected drunk Rumbek man reportedly stabbed a police officer to death at the Cuei Adukan residential area in Rumbek Central County, Lakes State.

Elijah Makuac, a spokesman for the Lakes State Police, told The City Review that a police sergeant named Chol Anyuonic was fatally stabbed by an assailant who was allegedly intoxicated.

According to him, the police officer died instantly after being knifed by a suspected drunk man.
“The police officer succumbed to death from a knife wound he sustained in Rumbek,” he said.

Makuac disclosed that the suspect is being held at the Rumbek police station while the authorities conduct a probe to determine the motive for the murder.

“We are currently conducting investigations to determine what disturbed them before the altercation,” he declared. By Makur Adut, The City Review
