Bus 338, a Kenyan survival thriller film premiered in London on 19th October 2025. In a colourful and well attended red-carpet event, Kenyans and many fans from different countries converged at Battersea Power Station Cinema to watch the film. It was a well attended event by politicians from Kenya, UK and as well Kenya High Commission in the UK was represented by Deputy Ambassador Dr Joseph Warui. In attendance was also renowned football player Victor Wanyama who is also husband to Serah.
The film is a debut production from SNT Productions, founded by actress Serah Ndanu Teshna. The story is about strangers travelling in the same long distance bus and they realize, they have to confront their fear, secrets and each others hidden past when their bus breaks down during a deadly virus outbreak The Premiere was well attended and some of the film stars, Serah Ndanu Teshna, Pascal Tokodi, Bilal Mwaura, Robert Agengo and Godfrey Odhiambo were seen giving their best performance in such a gripping and intense thriller.
Given the high quality and entertaining capacity, these film will go far and all those attending said they wished to see more films done and premiered from Kenya and as well firm up the branding of Kenya's film industry. Speaking after the premiere, Stelah Ndanu shared that government support was required to help boost the film industry in Kenya.
The idea of Bus 338 came to Serah Ndanu during Covid -era.
“I wanted to explore survival, fear, and humanity but in a way that feels Kenyan and is grounded in our reality. The story takes a familiar setting: a long-distance bus ride that turns it into a high-stakes survival journey. It’s relatable, but also cinematic,” Ndanu says.
The story is also personal to Serah as she told many attending the premiere, she wanted to honour her late mum and elder sister Mwende who is a medical practitioner. The script for bus 338 was written by a Tanzanian film maker, Angela Ruhinda.
Serah is a former actress and her co-stars in Bus 338 include Bilal Mwaura (40 Sticks), Robert Agengo (Country Queen), Pascal Tokodi (Makosa ni Yangu) and Godfrey Odhiambo (Crime and Justice) whom she describes as powerful actors. She shared that it was a lot of work involved and it costed a lot of money to produce Bus 338 film.
