Exhibitors from more than 30 countries are expected in Nairobi for AUTOEXPO Kenya 2026, highlighting Kenya's role in regional trade and transport networks

Nairobi will this week become a meeting point for automotive manufacturers, industrial technology suppliers and mobility companies as AUTOEXPO Kenya 2026 opens its doors from June 3 to June 5.

The event, now in its 27th edition, is expected to draw exhibitors from more than 30 countries, placing Kenya at the centre of regional discussions around transport, manufacturing and vehicle technologies. Organisers project attendance by thousands of business visitors from East and Central Africa.

The exhibition arrives at a time when demand for transport services, logistics equipment and vehicle-related technologies is expanding across the region. Businesses operating in distribution, passenger transport, fleet management and industrial production are increasingly seeking new suppliers and technology partners as economic activity grows.

AUTOEXPO Kenya will feature a broad range of products spanning passenger vehicles, commercial transport equipment, spare parts, batteries, lubricants, workshop systems and automotive technologies. Companies involved in vehicle maintenance, aftermarket services and industrial engineering are also expected to participate.

Organisers say the combined exhibitions will showcase more than 10,000 products and attract over 5,500 professional visitors. The concentration of exhibitors from multiple industries is expected to create opportunities for procurement discussions, dealership arrangements, distribution partnerships and supplier engagement.

The growing presence of electric mobility companies is likely to be among the closely watched aspects of the event. Interest in electric buses, motorcycles, charging systems and fleet electrification has increased across East Africa as businesses explore lower operating costs and alternative transport technologies.

For Kenya, the exhibition serves a broader commercial function. International firms frequently use Nairobi as an entry point into neighbouring markets because of its transport links, established business services sector and access to regional trade networks. Industry events of this scale often provide companies with an opportunity to assess market demand, identify local partners and evaluate expansion prospects.

Manufacturing technology will also feature prominently. Exhibitors are expected to present industrial automation systems, engineering equipment, machine tools and production technologies aimed at businesses seeking efficiency improvements and production upgrades.

As companies continue to look for growth opportunities across Africa, trade exhibitions remain one of the principal channels through which new commercial relationships are formed. The Nairobi event is expected to provide a snapshot of where investment interest is moving across the automotive, industrial and mobility sectors.

The outcome will be measured less by visitor numbers than by the agreements, supplier networks and market entries that emerge after the exhibition concludes. Those developments will offer a clearer indication of how Kenya’s role in regional automotive and industrial trade is evolving. Tech Trends
