Russia, Indonesia plan to hold join exercises next week, says press service of Russian Pacific Fleet

A detachment of ships from Russia’s Pacific Fleet has arrived at Tanjung Priok port in Indonesia’s capital Jakarta.
In a statement, the Pacific Fleet’s press service said that Russia and Indonesia plan to carry out joint maneuvering and communications drills in the coming days.
The detachment includes the corvette Gromky, the submarine Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, and the sea tug Andrey Stepanov.
According to the statement, the ships were welcomed in Jakarta by representatives of the Russian Embassy in Indonesia and local maritime authorities, with the Indonesian side noting that the friendly visit of the Russian Navy is an honor for the capital.
The visit will include planned tours of the vessels by Indonesian Navy personnel and local residents.
Joint Russian-Indonesian naval manoeuvers, including communications drills, are expected to take place next week, it added. Anadolu Agency
