CAPE TOWN - A multi-disciplinary operation, led by the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), has recovered the body of a man who went missing in Hartbeespoort Dam - in the North West.

NSRI spokesperson Craig Lambinon says after an extensive search operation with law enforcement as well as water policing and diving services, the man's body was located and brought ashore.
Lambinon adds an inquiry has been opened by the police.
"On Wednesday at around 10h30, police divers - assisted by the NSRI Hartbesspoort Dam and SRU, located and recovered the body of the man from the water. The body of the man has been taken into the care of police and government health Forensic Pathology Services." Eye Witness
