Andy Burnham is the new UK's Prime Minister. This follows the resignation of Sir Keir Starmer as the Prime Minister. Andy Burnham had gone earlier to Buckingham Palace to see the King. Hinting at what transpired, spokesperson for the Buckingham Palace said:
"His Majesty received in audience the Rt Hon Andrew Burnham MP and requested him to form a new Administration. The Rt Hon Andrew Burnham MP accepted The King’s offer and kissed hands upon his appointment as Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury."
Upon getting on the reigns of power, PM Burnham said he has a decade-long plan to change the UK. He explained he might focus on cuts to personal taxes, he will lso address the rising cost of living. Mr Burnham promised to restore faith in government advocating for more stable and responsible politics. UK has had seven Prime Ministers slightly over ten years.

Sir Keir said: “I go with good grace, I go with a smile, and I go proud of everything that we have achieved.”
